The Uzbekistan Amateur Filmmakers’ Association (UAFMA) is a non-profit organisation that supports independent filmmakers and safeguards the archives of amateur and independent cinema in Uzbekistan. It delivers educational programmes in film and photography, including workshops, training sessions and creative residencies. UAFMA collaborates with international institutions and curates cultural events such as lectures, film screenings and exhibitions.

Vision & Mission
UAFMA aims to develop independent cinema as a form of popular art and a means of moral and aesthetic education. It seeks to meet the cultural needs of independent filmmakers and the broader population, unite the country’s independent filmmakers into a cohesive movement, protect their interests, and provide organisational, technical, financial, methodological, and creative support. The organisation also focuses on coordinating events, supporting the creation of new groups and studios, enhancing the artistic level of independent cinema, and developing international partnerships.
